Covid-19 Information for our Good Dog family
Updated: February 28, 2022
The safety of our staff and our clients is our priority. We are continuing with all established safety precautions and are committed to ensuring everyone continues to be safe and healthy.
Our lobby is limited to 3 customers at a time. This may mean it will take a bit longer to safely check in and check out each guest at peak periods in the day and appreciate your patience while we work as quickly as possible to get to each dog and client.
Physical distancing - anyone entering the building will be required to maintain a minimum of 6 feet from each other. In addition, face masks are required and we ask all participants to sanitize their hands upon entering the building and a no touch hand sanitizer station is located at the front door for quick and convenient access.
Health screenings - if you are experiencing any coughing, sneezing, fever or other COVID symptoms we will ask you to stay home until you are feeling better.
We ask that if you see something you think is either not in keeping with our protocols, or is going above and beyond, please let us know. We like to hear when our team are doing well, and if there is an opportunity for improvement.
We want you to know we are committed to the safety of our clients and staff. Please remember that a pandemic event can be devastating for small businesses. Please consider continuing with all of your usual reservations both with Good Dog and other businesses out there, while being safe and following the recommended guidelines.
We know that if we all come together and ask “What can we do?”, we’ll all get through this a little easier. Here’s what we’re doing:
Maintaining Business as Usual and Expanded Capacity
Our services are in full-swing! Our Enrichment Daycare is open and we have extra spots now available in boarding due to trip cancellations.
Grooming capacity has been expanded to accommodate the increase in demand as many shops are not yet reopened
Training options have been adjusted to allow for virtual training options.
If you are working from home, you can take advantage of our daycare service to concentrate on what you need to do!
Try our daycare to get some free time during your booked time off or have your dog come for a few nights of boarding to make room for whatever you need to take care of or take advantage of during your time off!
If you are in self quarantine or social distancing and cannot exercise your dog as you could before, we have protocols at the ranch to safely drop-off and pick-up dogs with no human contact.
Reduced Financial Impact to our Customers
If your boarding reservation has been cancelled due to COVID-19, we will offer 20% off your next boarding reservation anytime in 2020 to help cover some of those out of pocket costs you may have lost as a result. Just mention that your reservation was cancelled due to COVID 19 at the time of booking your next reservations.
Let us know if financial hardship is impacting your ability to maintain your dog's regular care and we will work with you to arrange affordable care until this crisis passes.
Keeping Ourselves and Others Safe
We are following advised health guidelines and we have taken all the steps to ensure that our team is well-informed and adopting the necessary precautions to protect themselves and those around them. This includes frequent hand washing and staying home if they feel sick.
We have also reinforced our cleaning protocols including:
Providing hand soap, hand sanitizer and tissues
Promoting hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette (use the elbow when tissue isn’t handy)
Our team is washing their hands frequently throughout the day
All common surfaces are cleaned routinely with a hospital grade virucide
We are set up for no touch payment processing, with integrated payment options set up directly in your customer profile. If you are checking in or out for a boarding reservation, will bring your belongings to your car and process all transactions remotely to be in line with the recommended social distancing protocols. You can collect your dog through our no contact set up.
We ask that anyone showing symptoms such as cough, fever or runny nose stay home and continue regular services when they are symptom free for a minimum of 24 hours.

Take the stress out of walks and let us come to you. Our certified trainers take your dog on a one-on-one walk in your neighbourhood and teach them important skills while they’re at it.
Join us online for reactivity webinars to help you gain a better understanding for what is going on and how we can help improve your dogs behaviour.
Our Board & Train programs are an excellent opportunity for your dog to be in the care of certified professional dog trainers who will tailor a program to suit your dog’s specific needs.
